About the Sculpture:
The sculpture “Good Morning”, in the words of the artist, represents two people saying good morning to each other. The big head represents wisdom and knowledge while the more open grooves and dips in the wood show the soul of the individuals. Walnut was used for the wood and is often used by the artist since it is abundant in Indiana. The wood often shows variations in color due to the elements the tree absorbs from the soil, thus creating beautiful natural features in the carvings.
“Good Morning” has an estimated value of $5,800. Recommended opening bid of $2,900.
