Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day weekend with an evening of live music at The Reid Center, performed by Blackthorn’s Bards and Prairie Creek Sirens!

Update: Unfortunately, Prairie Creek Sirens will be unable to perform at the Reid Center tonight as previously planned. However, we have arranged for Celtic folk musician Bettina Solas to take their place and ensure a great evening of entertainment.

Celtic folk musician Bettina Solas will be opening for Blackthorns Bards at tonight's concert. Bettina is a multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter performing regionally since 2002. Bettina’s musical style is heavily influenced by musicians such as Loreena McKennitt, Alison Krauss, Sarah McLachlan, Enya, Blackmore’s Night and Nightwish. While the autoharp is Bettina’s primary instrument, you may also see her perform with lap dulcimer, bowed psaltery, bodhran, and various other percussion instruments. For more information, visit https://www.bettinasolas.com/

We apologize for this late-breaking change to the program. Looking forward to seeing you at tonight's performance.

Richmond's own Celtic folk-rock band, Blackthorn's Bards has provided Richmond area festivals with melodic, high-energy, Celtic folk-inspired entertainment since 2012. The band features a fury of top local musicians: Toby Isaacs, Craig Wynne, Aaron Nell, Kierstan & Jay Barbre, and Jack Humphrey.

Accessibility: We are honored to be caring for such a special facility, but older buildings come with challenges. It is our intention to be open and accessible to all community members. The south entrance (along North A Street) has an accessible ramp to the door. Once inside, there is a stairway of eight steps to the main level. On the left is a handrail, and on the right is a lift chair. The restroom on the main level is a private, single-person restroom, but is not wheelchair accessible. Until we can make permanent accessibility updates to our facility, we encourage those needing additional accommodations to reach out to our volunteer Events Manager, Lynn Knight at lynn@reidcenter.org or call 765-966-7618. We are eager to welcome you and will do everything we can to meet your accessibility needs.
